Biography
Dr. Idriss is a consultant physician in adult critical care with more than a decade of experience in his field, he has a clinical MD in internal medicine and European Diploma of Intensive Care (EDIC). He completed his fellowship in adult critical care in a prestigious institute in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was part of the Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS) team. He participated in establishing of the service including the retrieval of patients by both ground ambulance and avian retrieval. Also he contributed in publish he papers in this growing sophisticated service. With the team they went further and they published a paper in prolonged ECMO, the success Ness was crowned with golden award of excellence by ELSO. Dr. Idriss has a special interest in educational activities for residents and junior fellows. Also he participated in improving the quality of care in the ICU and he is the champion of the M&M in the department. As part of his core work, he is dealing with critically ill patients, mastering the difficult airway, POCUS and echocardiography assessment for sick patients.
