Dr. Unati Makiwane Biography
Irina Mirochnik is the president of the international group of companies IMMER Group,a global
manufacturer of flexible packaging materials, films, and labels. She is also the president of the
Ukrainian Association of Flexible Packaging and a member of the board of the
European Rotogravure Association (ERA). Since 2013, she has served as the board’s chair of IMMER Ukrplastic.
Through the opening of a second flexible packaging facility in Latvia, IMMER Digital, the company
expanded its operations to the European market under her guidance. It now ranks among the top
15 European producers of its type, adheres to international standards, and employs over 1,400 people. Irina has 25 years of professional experience using cutting-edge business development techniques to produce high-tech modern packaging materials. She is also a board member of the European Rotogravure Association and the founder and
president of the Ukrainian Association of Flexible Packaging (ERA). Since 2015, she has served
as the UN Save Food Initiative’s authorized representative in Ukraine.Irina holds a doctorate in
philosophy in law, is an Honored Worker of Industry of Ukraine,
and was listed in Focus magazine’s Top 100 list of the most powerful women in Ukraine.
Irina is actively involved in humanitarian, educational, and scientific endeavors.
She has written many books and numerous papers that have appeared in a variety
of scholarly magazines.
